About Raw Attraction

Originally launched in 2012, Raw Attraction Magazine became one of the top-ranked relationship and lifestyle magazines in Apple’s Newsstand & App Store ecosystem, at times ranking ahead of major publications including Cosmopolitan and Men’s Health.

Raw Attraction explores the invisible emotional mechanics underneath modern connection.

The subtle shifts.
The nervous system dynamics.
The emotional ambiguity.
The quiet moments where attraction, intimacy, tension, reassurance, and emotional momentum begin to change long before people fully understand why.

Raw Attraction was never built to become another dating advice brand.

We are not interested in pickup culture, performative masculinity, generic self-help, woo-woo BS, therapy clichés, or algorithmic relationship content.

Through emotionally intelligent essays, cinematic storytelling, and psychologically sophisticated editorial writing, Raw Attraction explores attraction, intimacy, nervous system behavior, emotional momentum, modern dating fatigue, emotional ambiguity, and the subtle relational shifts people often feel long before they can explain them.

Modern relationships rarely collapse suddenly. The atmosphere changes first.

This is emotionally intelligent relationship media for the modern era.

Stephen James Burford

Editor-in-Chief

He founded Raw Attraction Magazine in 2012.

He writes about attraction, relationships, modern dating, and the curious ways human beings complicate things once they start caring.

He lives in the Czech Republic with his wife and son and remains fascinated by the mystery of human connection.

Daniel Dzerve

Head of Video

Armed with a camera, a sharp eye for storytelling, and an unhealthy tolerance for editing timelines, Janis helps bring ideas to life through video.

When he’s not filming, editing, or finding creative ways to improve a shot, he’s usually exploring new projects, chasing inspiration, or trying to convince everyone that “just one more take” is worth it.

Thankfully, he’s often right.

Kateřina Burford

Director of Common Sense

Every publication needs someone willing to ask the questions nobody else is asking.

Kateřina’s role is to keep Raw Attraction connected to reality. When conversations become too complicated, too theoretical, or disappear into fascinating rabbit holes, she’s usually the first person to bring them back down to earth.

Her responsibilities include providing perspective, challenging assumptions, and reminding everyone that human connection is considerably easier to write about than it is to live.
